Facility Manager: Lab Launch @ ATX

Description

Lab Launch is seeking a full-time Facility Manager to lead our new multi-user biotech laboratory facility, “Lab Launch @ ATX” in Atwater Village, Los Angeles. The Facility Manager will be responsible for the overall operation of the site, and serve as the primary point of contact for customers and partners. The Facility Manager will be required to create and manage monthly operating budgets, and submit accurate monthly reports to COO/CFO and project partners. The Facility Manager will be responsible for day to day operations of the facility, responding to member service requests, event planning, management of regular purchasing and shipping/receiving, incident response, and coordination of facility maintenance and repairs.

 

This unique position offers the opportunity to lead the creation and development of a local ecosystem of biotechnology innovation in north-central Los Angeles; a vision for creating new opportunities for business development, networking, and partnerships between early-stage biotech companies, capital partners, and industry professionals is a key consideration for this position.

Qualifications

Required:

BS / BA in life sciences

Experience in laboratory operations

Exceptional interpersonal skills

Ability to both self-manage and work in a collaborative team

Results-oriented, with a strong focus on customer service

Passion for biotechnology

 

Preferred:

MS / PhD in life sciences

Experience in laboratory design

Experience in creating and managing budgets

Experience in event planning

Knowledge of EH&S compliance

Pay: $60k, plus benefits, employee stock options

Regional Director: Northern LA County

Description

Lab Launch is seeking a Regional Director to lead our Business Development and Operations in Northern Los Angeles County and surrounding areas, including the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and upper San Fernando Valley. 

 

The Regional Director will be the primary point of contact at Lab Launch for public and private-sector partners in the region. The Regional Director’s initial responsibility will be the establishment of a supportive biotech innovation community in the area. The Regional Director will work in partnership with public, private, and non-profit organizations to build a supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem via creating opportunities for networking, business development, and partnering between biotech startups, capital partners, and industry professionals. As Lab Launch completes and opens new bioinnovation facility(ies) in the area, the Regional Director will be responsible for their day-to-day operations, including response to member service requests, coordination of maintenance and repairs, and giving tours to potential customers. The Regional Director will be required to manage monthly operating budgets, and submit accurate monthly reports to COO/CFO and project partners. This is a management level position, and as such the Regional Director will ultimately have up to 4 employees reporting directly to them. These employees will be hired as Lab Launch completes new facilities.
